Johanne is an experienced and dedicated healthcare professional who has served on the Board of the ARNBC for the past 2 years. She has provided a balanced approach to examining Board issues based on the presented facts and helps to ensure that discussions are well rounded and representative of all opinions. She has many years of nursing experience in a range of healthcare settings. She has held positions in academia, healthcare and government as a staff nurse, patient care coordinator, director of nursing, education program director, consultant for the Ministries of Advanced Education and Health and interim CNO. This experience has equipped her to understand the issues facing RNs/NPs in BC.
Johanne has worked in a consultative and collaborative capacity with diverse groups and individuals across BC. She obtained her nursing diploma at St. Paul''s School of Nursing, a BSN from UVic and an MScN from the University of Portland. Johanne is recently retired, but remains passionate about evidence-based policy development and is looking forward to bringing the ideas of nurses forward in decision-making.
Johanne is honoured to have this opportunity to represent RNs/NPs and looks forward to working with all nurses, from front-line to senior management.
